Layout selector for paragraphs

Hi,

Just saw the paragraph layout selector yersterday (https://doc.dynamicweb.dev/documentation/fundamentals/dw10release/releasenotes/workiteminfo.html?workitemid=22872) - and it looks really nice. But I cant get it working properly on a solution running on R1.

As you can see in the attached screenshot, the layout selector seems to include the entire page. Is there any specific requirements to the grid - or to the markup that we should meet in our implementation? It would be nice with a bit documentation for this, if it requires us to implement it in a specific way.

Hi Rene,

This is a really nice feature. But, and we knew that before we started working with it, it would be very hard to get to behave. But we came through it, and we recently did a lot of optimizations on work item #23358, and fixed a lot of issues, like the one you have here. As far as I can see, the fix should be in the next DW10 release + We have some optimizations for Swift 2.

You should be aware that the previews will be representative, which means they will not be one to one of what you see on the page. They will look good and very close to the real thing.

If you are ever unsatisfied with a preview, it is possible to make css modifications, only for the previews, in the BackendPreview.cshtml frontend file.

Hi Karsten,

Ok. Nicolai was at our office and showed us a working setup. Probably on a release not ready for us yet :-)

I'm looking forward to using it - a really cool feature! It enables us to remove a lot of settings (like you did in Swift 2) and use layouts instead.
