For the dimension fields, Width, Height and Depth, is it possible to add more than the default unit to the list? Exactly the same as a UnitFieldTypeProvider.
Currently, we have a solution where they use custom productfields for Length, Width etc. They want to make use of the standard fields above-mentioned, but with an optional conversion between the units.
From this situation:
To the standard field :
- But with mm and m conversions and options added.
In the advanced settings, I can change the default unit, but there's no setting to add more units.
Also, the unit is not saved in the database on the value. Width is saved as '2', unlike the unitFieldsTypeProvider where its saved as '2 mm'
Is there an explanation for this?
