Synced Disounts not updating in the solution in DW 10.7.5

Hi.

We're syncing discounts into the EcomDisounts table but they're not appering on the website or in the admin discounts overview under commerce until we restart the web service (they look normal in the database). Everything looks and functions normally once we've restarted the web service. The same setup was working for us in 10.7.3.

Best regards,

Jóhannes

Hi Jóhannes,

Which caches are you clearing when you run the job?

None, that may be the problem :). I will try clearing some caches.

All of our syncs have been working without clearing the caches until this issue with the discounts now though, should we be clearing caches aftur product and stock imports as well?

Best Regards,

Jóhannes

I tried clearing all the caches and now it works. I'm gonna narrow it down now starting from just discounts to see what has to be cleared, thank you.

Like I mentioned earlier; our syncs for products and stock are working as intended without any caches being selected for clearing, should we be clearing the relevant caches on those imports as well?

Best Regards,

Jóhannes

Hi,

Well, it depends. Clearing caches and indexes is not free performance wise, which is why we have made it explicit. If you need the changes to take effect immediately, then you would need to clear/update caches and indexes accordingly. Otherwise, you could set up a job specifically for clearing/updating the caches and indexes.

Ok got you, we'll keep the other syncs as is unless we experience similar problems then. Thanks.

Something I noticed in our test env where this problem doesn't occur. The disable cache clearing option is present there and unchecked:

However it's missing from the settings in production:

...Is "disable cache clearing" on by default now (or something to that effect) and we always have to select individual caches to clear instead? If so when did this change occur?

Best Regards, Jóhannes.
