Hi,

I have three questions about the marketing emails in DW10:

  • In DW9 you had the option 'Create split test variation' when creating the email, where is this in DW10?
  • Is there a strong policy to avoid spam filters such as the use of DMARC and DKIM?
  • How do I send an example to test subjects? Not the preview version, but really sending a test email to myself for example.

Hi Caro

  • Split test is removed in Dynamicweb 10
  • In email marketing, you will use a MessageDeliveryProvider - e.g. Sendgrid - as the handler of email marketing emails. You can setup DMARC and DKIM in the configuration of that service.
  • Currently in DW10 there is no test option. I will add a task to implement a test feature in actions when on an email.

Thanks for the quick response.

Everything is clear, except for the second point about the provider. Can you provide some additional explanation here? 
The documentation states that in DW10 you can only use the Dynamicweb Send Provider, so I can't use Mandrill or Sendgrid and set it up it in the configuration of those services. How can I do this for the 'Dynamicweb Send Provider'?

Just bumping this one, as I'm having trouble understanding what the "Dynamicweb Send Provider" actually is.

When using the "Dynamicweb Send Provider" I get the impression that e-mail campaigns will use the SMTP settings defined in Web & HTTP, is that correct?

Hi Justin,

Yes, that is correct. The Dynamicweb Send Provider uses the Email settings of DynamicWeb.
