Hi there!
When working with list defined fields in the PIM, its possible to keep the value empty by selecting 'Nothing Selected':
Its also possible to put the value back to Nothing Selected to make it empty. Although when working in the Grid-Edit it automatically puts the first value in there.
This will always be the first value in the option list and its automatically selected when opening the grid edit, there is no option to put it back to Nothing Selected.
When saving the product in the grid, it then saves the selected value unwanted since its not chosen by the user.
The field settings is as follows:

Tested on DW version 9.17.7. Also reproduced it on 9.16.6 with different fields.
