Uploading entire folders in Assets

Hi DW

DW10 version 10.5.4

I don't know if this is a feature that is not working or if it's a feature that has not been implemented, but when working with the "Assets" section in DW10, I can upload drop both files and folders in this view:

But when trying to do it for a folder I will get this screen with a spinner on the upload section:

And this error in the browser console:

I hope this is just a bug, as I believe it is a good feature for editors to be able to upload entire folders and subfolders with files, when working with image/video libraries,

If it is not an implemented feature maybe a proper error message would be needed instead of the eternal spinner.

Hi Chris,

Uploading a folder is not a feature that has been implemented in the backend of DynamicWeb. Currently, only the CLI knows how to do that.

I do see the benefit, so I've created a task to implement this feature (#20477). Hopefully, it'll be out with 10.7.
