Image links not tracked in Versions?

When working wiith product versions, do Image links in the asset categories not get tracked? 

In this example I changed the Name of a product and added a link to a new image, but the Product Images field in the compare screen is empty:

Hi Justin,

There are no support for Product relations in our "DW9 versioning" .. that also include Assets related to products ..
