Applying Unit stock 'never out of stock'

Hi,

When adding a unit to the stock matrix you can select 'never out of stock'.

One would expect this makes the product always 'in stock' and there would be no need to add a qty. But when doing so, the product shows 'out of stock' on the frontend:

When I add qty it shows 'in stock'. Is the 'never out of stock' option not working or is there something else to it?

HI Davy,

 

Assuming you are using Swift for the frontend, the template may need to consider "Never out of stock".

 

Regardless of the "Never out of stock" value, Dynamicweb still continues to track the quantities, which should be irrelevant for your case. I would agree that some Swift components may not recognize that property, thus only looking at the stock amount, so it becomes misleading.

 

If this is really a Swift issue, I would recommend you post it in the proper Category, so that the team responsible for keeping track of it get notified.
