Possible missing update

Hi,

I installed a local DW10 following the guide here:

https://doc.dynamicweb.dev/documentation/fundamentals/setup/installation/install-using-netcli.html

I attached an existing 9.15.x database to the solution, but opening Products I get an error message saying "FieldAllowChangesAcrossLanguages". I'm guessing I am missing a database update as there are more firlds missing in EcomProductCategoryFields when I compare to a pre-cooked Swift database.

Is there a way to re-run the updates like in DW9?

Hi Lars

We have this limited information on how updates are handled in later DW9s and in DW10:

https://doc.dynamicweb.dev/documentation/fundamentals/dw10release/upgradingfromDW9.html#file-and-database-updates

Basically in the updates table, delete all records and reboot your solution.

I would like to understand how you got into this situation - as the updates table in this new scenario is on the datbase it self - and not on the file system as in the old approach. So how did updates table get out of sync with your db schema?

Did you move tables from another database after you installed your DW10?

Got an explanation now. It is because both DW9 and DW10 holds 2 different update packages with the same number.

We are changing it to solve that issue.

Thank you for reporting.

Thanks, clearing the Updates table and rebooting solved the problem.

I had the same issue as Lars.
But clearing the Update table did not solve it. It only responded with a new warning:

Im using the repository files from Swift_v1.22.0_Files
