Hello,

We have a project which is starting to use the PIM quite heavily, but the image naming pattern doesn't work within subfolders consistently. 

In particular, what I'm noticing is that the setting to "Search in subfolders" doesn't work for the default image in the PIM backend list view, and it doesn't work in Ecom when you open the product. However, if I move the image to the root folder, then it works correctly. And, when you go to the settings of the product in the PIM, it does show up in the Image pattern section. 

Here's a summary:

  • Doesn't work in the PIM list view
  • Doesn't work in the Ecom product details view
  • Does work in the PIM details view, image pattern

Hello Scott,

- I have in many projects also been struggling with the image pattern, but in the latest versions of DW, it works as expected (in my use cases). What version are you running in the video?

Hi Michael,

I'm in 9.13.6 on this site. Do you figure that it has been fixed between then and 9.13.10 (current)? If so, I'm happy to test on another site with the latest version. (nothing is recorded in the release notes or bug fixes about it, that I can tell)

Hello Scott,

- I don't have any good experience with 9.13.6, so if possible I will recommend you to try on version 9.13.8 or later.

I'm not sure, if all reported bugs will be listed on the bug fixes page (https://doc.dynamicweb.com/downloads/dynamicweb-9/bug-fixes/known-bugs), but I hope they do.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for confirming your version.

I just tested on a 9.13.10 site, but the issue remains. I created a video showing the repro there too: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cqwws3ti6h9qzsc/2022-08-02_12-36-58.MP4?dl=0

Essentially, it's not honoring the search in subfolder for the PIM list page (and I assume ecom detail page although I didn't test that), but it does work in the PIM detail page.
