I have run into several issues around product imports to a group. This behavior was verified in a 9.10.16 version site.
Import to a group does not actually import to a group
- Export a product as an Excel that is Dynamicweb structured
- Create a new group in your PIM warehouse for testing
- select the new group and click "Import products"
- Go through the import process until the import is completed.
- Result: No products are added to the new group
The documentation says (italics are mine):
- Upload the file to your solution (for it to be found easier later, upload it to the Files folder)
- Open the warehouse group you want to import products to
The expectation is that products will be added to the group during import but that does not happen.
No visual feedback during import of Dynamicweb structured Excel file
When you get to this screen during the import of a Dynamicweb structured file:
there is no indication that clicking the "NEXT" button will start the import. There is also no visual indication that anything is happening after clicking the "NEXT" button. If the Excel file has several hundred lines, it can take several minutes to complete the import during which the screen seems to be doing nothing.
