Problem with all product data not copying

We are making duplicate copies of products that sometimes are not copying all of the data in the proper fields. This is mostly happening with the Product Category Fields. We are on Version 9.7.2 and are using a load balancer.

Further, when we make copies, they sometimes disappear as though they have been deleted. This usually takes a few minutes and we have no clear repro steps other than clicking around for about 10 minutes until it suddenly vanishes.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any idea what's going on and how to fix it?
