Assign files to products in PIM

Hi guys,

I have a solution running 9.7.4 and my customer needs to assign some plugins as resources to the product.

I have defined a new Asset category and tried to browse for the files but it seems that the file browser filters out the content of the folders and presets a search by ProductNumber.

I assume that assigning files to products it is not an unusual request for PIM but apparently I could not find a way to handle it.

Can somebody guide me in the right direction?

Hi Adrian

It is not untill DW 9.8 that Asset Categories allows for other files to be added than images

The only option in versions below is to create X amount of fields with fieldtype File where products can be enriched with documents from PIM and you can take values from those fields and use them in frontend templates and in PIM feeds

Hi Anett,

Thank you for your answer. It is not what I was expecting from a PIM but I'll have to live with it.

I guess I'll have to take my chances and upgrade to the latest 9.8. I was trying to avoid that upgrade because I have noticed a few bugs reported on the forum.
