Problem:
Today we setup the structure & Hierachy of products in PIM in order to maximize the use of inheritence of fields values and in accordance of the way the end-user wants to work with their products in PIM.
Thus we are using the eCommerce Product Categories quite a lot.
Now, when using the Rapido templates these very same product categories appear on the product detail views which is a nice feature if it wasn't for the fact, that the grouping of field and the fields within the group now are completely our of context when it comes to what the customer wants to be shown on their product Views.
I would there for suggest, that Product Groups in eCommerce and PIM are separated giving the clients the posibillity to choose wether to use product categories in eCommmerce views or not.
As the feature of being able to easily show some kind of grouping of fields in eCommerce product views, i would suggest a possibllity to define View groups and Sub Viewgroups of fields in PIM to beavailable in eCommerce.
This wil allow PIM clients users to define groups and subgroups of fields to be used both in eCommerce, feeds & Channels across any Product Category setup in PIM
