Changes to main language overwrite other language versions in paragraph container

We have one website with a main language and two sub languages.
The site is running DW 9.5.0 with Rapido 2.1. This is how it can be reproduced.

1. Create a new page in the main language.
2. Create a new element on the page with item type "Paragraph container".
3. Add a new "Paragraph" to the paragraph container, and type the text "Main language test".
4. Switch to a sub language version of the page, and activate the paragraph container.
5. Edit the paragraph in the paragraph container and change text to "Sub language test".
6. Verify that both language versions display different texts.
7. Switch to main language, and change the text in the paragraph to "Main language test update".
8. See that it has changed on all language versions, and overwritten the change made on the sub languages.

If you do the same operation on a simple "Paragraph" element the sub language version is NOT overwritten.
It does look like it only applies to the "Paragraph container" element.

Hi Martin

Can you provide a dump of your "Language management" settings?

Settings->Control Panel->Language Management

Thanks, Nicolai

Hi all,

'Paragraph' field of 'Paragraph container' item type is based on item relation list type. Nowadays this type (source='inline') is not under language managment ("inherit changes") due to some limitation of implemetation. The same behavior is on DW94. Perhaps, it can be implemented in future.

We still have this issue, and it is becomming pretty annoying.
Our customer say that every time they change something on the main language, it is overwriting the content on the other languages.

It's only related to "Paragraph container" module. But we need help looking into it ASAP.
We currently run DW 9.5.4

Hi

We have the same issue in a DW 9.7.2 Rapido 3.2 solution
(same language setting as Martin)

You don't have to change anyting in the main language, just click "Save", and the paragraph in the paragraph containger in the sub language gets overwritten
Also if you delete a part in the sub language, that will also be rebuild as well, when saving in main language

Are there any fix to this issue?

/ Thomas

Hi, I know im late to the party, but is there any update to this issue? I can't find the Track code 57286 on any page of http://doc.dynamicweb.com/downloads/releases. Hopefully because its been fixed long time ago. Any update in which version this has been fixed?

Hi Maik

57286 was removed at the time and replaced by 74118 and other items.

Later versions of DW has language support for item relation lists.
