H1 and H2 titles on smartphone

When I make a website in Rapido I have the possibilities to set H1 and H2. This works perfectly on a laptop or tablet. However, when I open the website on my smartphone, the H1 and H2 are not scaled. Why not?

See example below.

Hi Hendrik

You are perfectly right, this is not great. Font scaling is a very complex task, and that is the reason we have not done much to it, yet. The problem is that there is a lot of requirements that may go in multiple directions. For example what would be the best design here? Should it always render the whole text in one line? Or in multiple? And if it does, what happens when the text is very long? Will the header text be smaller than the body text?

Also, if the size is hardcoded in the rich text editor, we can not do anything about it.

I think the best solution, in this case, is to create a paragraph for desktop and another one for mobile. Then in the ribbon bar in the Dynamicweb backend, go to options and choose "Hide for desktop" on the mobile one and "Hide for desktop" on the other. The create a fitting text for the mobile one, either by writing something different or writing the text in the rich text editor and choosing a different font size.

Hi Karsten,

Thank you for your response.

A simple solution is to add extra H1, H2 and H3 for smartphone and tablet on 'site settings'. Here you can indicate how large a font must be on a different device.
