Hello,
As far as we can see it is only possible to searc in a catalog / Ecom.
But for websites like https://twi18.novelt.com/ and https://istwente.azurewebsites.net/ our customers would like to have a search option that search in their website. Is it possible to realize that?
And if not, can we make a feature request for this?
Best regards
Gerard

Hi Gerard
That is actually one of the things we are currently working on. There will be the posibility to set the search field to search in products, content or combined. The combined search will render the typeahead results in two columns.
But until the release, you will have to make the implementation by your self.

Hi Gerard
You can create a page and add a paragraph with the search weighted module:
https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/platform/indexing-search/search-weighted-app
The templates might need a little work, but the setup should be simple.

Hello Nicolai / Kartsten,
Thanks for your reply.
@Karsten, is it in the next release? That would be great.
@Nicolai, I am trying to set your option, but receive an error after selecting the search app.
Can you help me further?
BR. Gerard

Hello Krisian,
Why does the 'app' option (like in my earlier IST screendump in the conversation) not appear in our http://inextenzorapido.azurewebsites.net/ solution?
I would like to test the search function there, but cannot add the app here.
Best regards
Gerard
Hello Kristian,
Unfortunately I did not succeed in adding a search function to our website.
To test it I tried to add search function to our www.istwente.org solution (page: https://istwente.org/downloads), I hided the paragraph in CMS for now.
My expectation is that we get a search bar at top of each page in which users can find content all over the website.
But maybe my expectation is not correct.
One of the things I do nog understand is if, and how, I need to install Windows search.
Can you please help me through this?
Best regards
Gerard
