Multiple website languages - count is still 0

Hello,

I am currently working on a project in which I have a bunch of websites which need to have multiple languages. Though the same content, of course just translated to the respective culture. Untill today I have always worked on single websites in the backend and never given the "new language" option a though. However, I have tried to copy the website which I tend to have in 3 different languages by this particular option. However, when I try to implement a language selector by looping the websitelanguages or languages for that matter I simply get the count of 0. Am I missing something? and does DW contain a best practice on implementing such a selector (instead of hardcoding the url to the culture code) ..

Regards,

MikkelTO

You need to select your primary website and then click "New language". If you only create a copy, then the new website will not be a language version, but a completely separate website.

Also, this might be useful... Changing language in frontend.

Hi Mikkel

If you did what Morten suggests, you should have a loop. But only in new versions. What version are you running?

Hi Nicolai,

I am running ithe latest version of Dynamicweb 8.5..

See the attached image - i've the same setup as Morten suggests regarding the websites I reckon? :)

I just noticed that I my LoopStart(Languages) count was 0 on the one containing an additional language

NOTE: I got it working by adding the loop Morten provided in the other post :)
