Stylesheets and ParagraphLayout in DW8

Hi,

One of our customer run their site on DW8. However, the site was upgraded from a DW7 version and it still uses the 'old' stylesheet and paragraphlayouts of earlier days.

Recently they updated some meta data of their homepage and as a result of that, the layout of their homepage collapsed.

I found out in the database that the reference to the dw-stylesheet had been set to empty, causing the layout to fail. I had to manually update that value with the ID of the stylesheet and performing a app-pool-recycle to get to the original layout.

Obviously, the same will happen again when the customer saves the page in DW.

In DW, no stylesheets can be found in de mgt-center, but clearly, they exist and they are being used.

But saving a page doesn't respect that somehow.

How do we deal with this?

Thanks,

Ton

Hi Ton

It seems like you have either mixed up some globalsettings.aspx files or set a checkbox in MC to disable stylesheets.

In MC -> System -> Solution Settings, you can find a checkbox "Only use designs and layouts" - that should not be enabled if you still have stylesheets, because that will remove the stylesheet options.

Thanks Nicolai, it was the checkbox.
