Navigation parent website instead of id

Is it possible to specify a website as "parent id" instead of an id?

 

I have a masterpage wich need to output the same bottomnavigation on two different websites/languages. The bottom navigation should be based on website A and outputted on both website A and B.

 

Hope you can help.

Hi Rune

 

You can use the parentid or parenttag - parentid would give you the same navigation on 2 websites. Parent tag could give you 2 different navigations using the same layout template across 2 websites...

Hi Nicolai

 

Yeah, but the problem is that the the pages I want to output is not contained in a folder.

So the nav structure is just:

WEBSITE A:

  • Home
  • Nav 1
  • Nav 2

and so on...

I want the contents of "WEBSITE A", not the contents of "Home".

 

Makes sense?

try doing like this:

 

settings="parentid:0;areaid:1;"

Great, thanks!

 

It works. Even without the "parentid:0". I set the areaid to the specific one I needed, and all looks fine.
