Parsing of template tags in IE8

Hey everyone :-)

Have anyone experienced template tags not being parsed in IE8?

We have a solution where the template tag "<!--@Ecom:Order.ID-->" is parsed in all browsers fine - except in IE8.

Any idea what could cause this :-)?

Tags are parsed sever-side, so it is not browser specific...

Could you elaborate on the issue?
