"Forgot password" in a paragraph

Reply

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to set up a login area in the frontpage of a website.

So far i got my login functionality working, but i can't get my password reminder to work.

I copied the html from the file Login_dk_passworded.html in the Extranet folder, and changed it to match my layout, but i'm not getting a password sent when i try.

Does the page i post to need to be protected by Extranet security?

or have an idea how i can get the password reminder to work from a box (paragraph) on my frontpage.

/Martin

Hi guys

You are able to reuse Login_dk_password.html template in a paragraph. Change the action to action="Default.aspx?ID=<!--@Global:Page.ID-->"

You can simply choose the template where you would normally choose an image on a paragraph. DW will then read and print the html instead of an image tag.

Attached a template to test.

Do either of you solutions have correct settings for SMTP server and also a solution email address in Control panel?

Are the solutions hosted by us? If not it might be an anti virus issue on the server. Are the solutions capable of sending emails from other modules (Forms, Cart, Extranet)?

Hi people

I still have the problem discriped above.

Besides not being able to use the "I forgot my password" function, I cannot see the tag DW_extranet_error_dk if i view DWtags. Are this functionality and those tags only available when using the "big" page permissions?

The problem is that I would like to display a login option on my masterpage, so it's allways avalable to the user.

The login works fine, but no errors are displayed when there is a user/password mismatch.

Makes sense?

The error message template tag is only available in the login template. If you incorporate the login box in any other template, that tag is not available...

Registered as a feature request to have it as global tag.

Lovely.

Is the same the case for the "forgot password"? Although I know thats not just a tag.

I did try to display login template through the paragraphImage tag, but still no luck with either the error message or the "forgot password".

Is there a "little red button" i need to push?

Using the template as an image will not load it in the right context. That can only be achieved setting it on the pages properties under security.

I did indeed read that thread, and tried your code without luck. Oh well if it should work i'll give it another shot.

Thanks for the help!
