if global tag not working

Hi,

 

I am trying to use the if global tag within a news_v2 template, but it does not work. It is working in the page template, but not in the module template.

 

If you check out the HTML renderd page, the tag is rendered as if it was an html comment.

 

Can anyone shed some light on this?

 

The website is http://efp.dev.dynamicweb.pt and the paragraph is set as a global paragraph on the left hand column. (ParagraphID = 1)

 

Even if you check it out in the paragraph's page (ID=31) the problem persists.

Hi Sebastian,

 

It is working as a Global paragraph (ParagraphID = 1) located in Page ID 31. THe news template is "List_Homepage_EFP.html"

 

If you view the source code of the page, you will see the If global tags have not benn processed by Dynamicweb

Hi Nuno,

 

The news module allows you to enter a text which will be shown if no articles exists. You find it under the Modules setting > Advanced, at the bottom. Is that not what you are looking for?

 

I guess that you are trying to avoid putting any UL list in the HTML if there are no news articles. You try using the test on the tag "News:NoNewsMessage", but that tag returns the contents defined above.

 

I cannot give you a soloution though...

Hi Sten,

 

Not only that, but also to use when the news has no image, load a "No Image" jpeg file. Mainly the if global tags are not working on the news module. The new newsv2 standard templates provided by Dynamicweb, use this feature, but it is as good as nothing. If they are global tags, they should work.
