Allow for .htc files

Reply

Our project (and probably future project) makes use of PNG transparency, and in order to support it in IE6 we're using a .htc (HTML Component) script using the IE proprietary CSS 'behavior' setting.

However, htc files are not allowed to be uploaded - is it possible to change this setting?

You can find more about the script and how it works here: http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/ and here: http://bjorkoy.com/past/2007/4/8/the_easiest_way_to_png/.

It can only be changed by the developer team. The usually allows extensions except of those belonging to .NET etc.

So make a helpdesk case and ask for the extension to be added.

IT WORKS!

Well, If you have an FTP account to your solution, it works. I created a new file called iepngfix.htm on the server (using Editplus) and pasted the code from the .htc file. Then i renamed the file to .htc and voila, it works.

I thought this comment might help others out when it's now confirmed it works.

Chers!
