Isolate login session for each website

I have two websites, "Website A" and "Website B".
Whenever I login to "Website A" I'm also autmatically logged in to "Website B".

Is that because I use the same domain on both websites, just separated with an "https://mydomain.com/website-a" and "https://mydomain.com/website-b"?
I want to isolate the logins, so that you are not automatically logged into both websites. Will that be solved if I use a subdomain for one of the webistes?

Ex.
Website A = https://mydomain.com
Website B = https://website-b.mydomain.com

Hi Martin,

It should. In fact we had to do some custom development a few years back because customers wanted the opposite of what you're looking for (2 different sub-domains, but keep the login)
