End point management against DW 9 endpoints

Hi there,

I have a solution that has been upgraded from 9 to 10. Now under Integration I see this:

Was this folder "Dynamicweb 9 Endpoints" auto-created by the upgrade? It acts a little weird for a few reasons:

1. I cannot add new items to it, only Sort the collection, or delete it:

2. It doesn't show up under the main Sort option under Connections:

3. It seems that authentication is shared among (some?) items in the collection, but I can't edit the collection directly. When I edit, say, the password for one collection, others are updated too but not all.

4. It's not stored in the database it seems.

That all looks a little weird; should I just forget about this folder and move my connections into new folders?

Imar

Hi Imar,
yes, it is auto created by the upgrade but it is a "virtual" collection for the old DW9 endpoints with limited functionality.
That is need because in DW10 you can not have any endpoint to be not connected to any collection.
If you had shared authentication in the DW9 endpoints then that same authentication is still used in the auto moved/converted DW10 endpoints untill you re-save them.
So you need to move the connections into the new folders.
