Cart pop out and other 'off canvas' items not inheriting website design.

I am having an issue with off canvas items like the cart or when adding an address in the customer center. They are not inheriting the design from the website and for the cart setting the design on the cart service it does not change.

Hi Perry

Can you share a screenshot and some information about what version you are using?

And also what settings you are changing that does not take effect.

Hi Nicolai, I am on verison 10.24.11 of DW and 2.1 of Swift. 

I have the color scheme set on the website level but it is not inhereting to the 'mini cart' (or other off canvas items for that matter) but even when I try to set the color scheme here I see no change.

Good question. Dropdowns and offcanvases are, generally, hardcoded to use the "light" colorscheme. The reason is that the alternative is that it will inherit the color scheme from either the header or website settings - And that is both a little secret and often not what you want.


You have two options:

- Configure the "light" color scheme to your needs, if possible
- Change the hardcoded templates to use another color scheme
