Hi,
We are using Dynamicweb 10 PIM with products that have multiple variants.
In a shared query, we have configured a completeness rule that checks variant-specific fields, for example fields related to weight.
When opening Field completions for a master product/variant family, the completeness calculation appears to include all related variants in the calculation. In our case, the product has many variants, and the completeness percentage seems to be based on the combined completion state of the related variants instead of only the selected/specific variant.
Example from our setup:
- Product/master:
EWV-MASTER - Variants: 283
- Completeness shown: 34%
- Field completion rows show values/missing values across related variants
What we would like is to calculate completeness only for the specific selected variant, without including sibling/related variants in the percentage.
I checked the completion rule settings and found the Exclude variants option, but that seems to exclude variants from the calculation entirely. That is not what we need, because the fields we want to validate are variant-specific.
Is there a setting or recommended configuration to make a completeness rule evaluate only the current variant?
Or is the current behavior by design, meaning that field completions on variants/families always include related variants?
Thanks in advance!
