Images missing in rich text editor after upgrade from 10.4 to 10.23

Hi, 

We have recently upgraded to Dynamicweb 10.23 from 10.4, and are expericencing some issues with images in the new rich text editor. Images inserted before the upgrade are no longer available: 

 

In addition it no longer seems possible to resize images in the editor. 

Is there any way to avoid, having to reinsert images? And is it possible in newer Dynamicweb versions, to resize images in the rich text editor?

Generally never insert an image in the rich text editor. It is bad for a number of reasons:

  • Not responsive and can break mobile layout
  • Will not get resized causing potential large images
  • Design cannot be controlled and the page will look odd

Advise your customer to not do it and provide them with ideas on how to build pages in a more contemparory fashion or provide them with an item type that solves their specific need.

This seems like a breaking change and we would need to see the actual solution. In 10.4 insert image did not even exist as far as I remember...

Send the URL to care - they will create a bug for you if applicable.
