OData integration

Dynamicweb allows for data integration through the Open Data Protocol (OData).

By utilizing the built in Endpoint provider and OData provider you can set up data integration activities for importing data from any interface that exposes OData web services as well as for exporting data to Dynamics 365 Business Central.

There are two distinct types of endpoints for OData integration: OData API and OData V4 (anti-pattern). The desired type of endpoint must be selected when setting up a data integration activity. You can acces a step-by-step guide for each of the endpoint types by following the links below.

OData API The OData API type of endpoint is a general purpose integration tool that allows for manual mappings between any exposed OData source and any entity in the Dynamicweb database.
OData V4 The OData V4 setting of the endpoint provider is built specifically for data integration with Dynamics 365 Business Central. By using the OData V4 URL's of Business Central web services you can take advantage of predefined object type mappings for a seamless data integration.

The complete documentation of all the available object types for OData V4 imports and exports can be found here.

The documentation covers how to set up integration activities specifically for each object type, tips on filtering the responses and an overview of all the predefined column mappings.
