Multiple shops, same product different stock values per shop

Hi guys,

I have this situation:

1 Dynamicweb instance

2 Shops (and the corresponding websites)

1 catalog of products (products are the same and are assigned to categories on both shops)

Each product has one stock value for Shop1 and another stock value for Shop2

My question is related to using "StockLocations" in the order process.

My expectation would be to set StockLocations for each Shop and populate the stock values there, for each product. I would then set the default StovkLocation per shop. Upon order complete, DW will decrease the stock amount on the stock location related to the shop the order was placed onto.

Is this how I should be setting it up?

Thank you,
Adrian

Hi Nicolai,

DW 9.8.1. I thought the functionality is common to most versions. That's why I have not mentioned the version.

Thank you,

Adrian

We have just changed things related to this recently  - so if we test anything, I would like to know what version you are...

Thanks for clarifying.

Hi Adrian,

Please, use DW9.8.2 and up since we had bug 76419 related wrong decriasing stock amount by stock lockation fixed on DW9.8.2. I've tried to check your case using one product belongs to the both shops on last DW9.8.3 and had good results seem to be the same as you expect  - proof. Mainly you should set up specific stock location in sites-Ecommerce settings has to be related to the same location in product stock matrix. Initial/final product stock amount can be checked in backend and frontend before/after checkout (use apporpiate StockUnits and StockLocations loops). Please, comment if my scenario does not correspond to yours.
