Hi,

When upgradering Rapdio the upgrade package contains xml files with Item definitions.

The item EventArticle contains a field named "Event type" which has three static options. 

If we change these options to other ones they will be overwritten in a future upgrade. 

I know I can edit the options before I upgrade next time.  I'm just wondering if you have an other approach to this in the future upgrades where I don't need to manually edit Item definitions when upgradering?

Great question. Yes, this is a hard one to solve in a good way. To secure that you have all the new features in an upgrade, we need to overwrite the whole xml. We have no way to ony overwrite a part of it. 

My best idea to solve thes kind of upgrade issues, is that you have a spreadsheet/list with upgrade notes for each solution. Then you will always know what extra work there will be when upgrading.
