Product discount with "fixed" price

Hi Dynamicweb,

We have a customer who wants it to be possible to define a fixed price for one or more products if their customers use a voucher-code. A discount line must still be displayed with the savings the customer achieves on the individual product. The savings can thus vary on the individual products.
E.g. a voucher-code can apply on two products, the first usually costs DKK 150 and the second usually costs DKK 125. By adding a product discount with a fixed price of DKK 100, the customer will achieve savings of DKK 50 and DKK 25, respectively. Today, you can only enter a discount amount or a discount percentage.

Can this option be added in the discount module or can it somehow be achieved in the current version?

Hi Niels

Use "Amount from field" discount type. Then create a custom field on the product to hold the discounted price. Should do the trick. Of course not easy if 10 customers have 10 different custom discount prices...

Hi Nicolai,

Thanks for the quick reply. The amount from the custom product field is still a discount amount and not what the product should cost after the discount is deducted. This will require our customer to calculate what the discount amount should be on the individual product in order to hit a fixed price and update this on all the products included in the discount. I think this will be a very big task and it would be a better solution if this was calculated by the discount module, if it was possible to enter a fixed price in this.

Good word again as one might say in Jylland!

I have made a small workaround for you this afternoon - while drinking beer.
