Possibility to exclude specific products from sitemap

Hello,

We have a customer, who is requesting the ability to exclude specific products from the sitemap. At the moment, we can implement a custom solution, but it would be nice to have as standard functionality at some point.

Hi Vincent

If the product is inactive, it is not in sitemap. If it is active it will be - and to include it or not in the sitemap will not make much difference? Or what do I not understand?

I believe the customer wants to have the ability to exclude an active product from the sitemap.

I understand that. But why? 

We will register it as a feature request to stream line meta and publishing settings across pages, groups and products so they will have the same options and behavior.

I think it is because they have some products with very similar product names, which results in similar urls in the sitemap which is what they want to avoid for SEO reasons ;) But great that it is registered as a feature request! Thanks!

Any news on whether or not this will be included in a future version?
