Permission model - Permissions on single buttons

Hi,

We are looking on the new permission model to see wether it can meet our needs.

We need to be able to limit a user from publishing a page and use certain buttons.

Ex -  A user have to deliver content but must not be able to publish the page.

Does an option to set permission on single buttons (eg. the publish button) come in a future version?

We would like this option.

In is not in the roadmap to add permissions on buttons.

But you can use workflows to control who can publish and who cannot: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/content/content/drafts-workflows

Hi Nicolai,

I have tried to play with Workflows.

I can't seem to restrict a user from publish changes before approval

Do you have a specific workflow example of this?

The doc you sent says following:  "Specify whether this participant need to approve the changes – if so, check the required checkbox – or need merely be notified of changes."

So I created a user (User 1) without the check 'requered' followed and one with the check (User 2). But both users can publish the changes?

User 1's changes should then be approved by user 2, right? Because this doesn't seem to work :)

You also have to set the workflow role to hearing partner or or proofreader. If the role is set to administrator or approver they can approve them selves.
