Page items - Standard visibility setting on Item Settings

Hi guys,

I would like to have a setting on the Item Settings where one can set the default visibility for a specific item type. This is for PageItems only, and it's to be able to set a default of either "Published", "Hide in menu" or "Unpublished". This is particular usefull when ie. making an itemtype that should never show up in your navigation. Right now my editors should themselves remember to click "Hide in menu" when creating blog-posts etc. It would be a nice feature I think :-)

Hi Jacob

I always make a folder which function as a container for e.g. news- and blogitems. On this folder container I set "Hide in menu" in order to hide this and all subpages in the navigation. Also I set itemtype restrictions that ensures that certain itemtypes can only be created under the folder container. In that way I have not missed the setting you suggest. Maybe you could use the same approach?
