Publications setup

Hi guys,
I have a project where I am supposed to implementa a couple of websites in different languages.
One of the additional requirments is to also implement Publications.
I see that the standard implementation of publications is aon dedicated Website.
I would like to avoid setting up a dedicated website with additional language layers and instead implement the Publications logic in every website layer.
Is this scenario possible? Is there any limitation in this case? I am thinking about some specific Area properties?

Thank you,

Adrian

Hi Adrian

Publications is a separate design with its own templates, CSS and page structure, so it's not designed and implemented to work together in the same website setup.

E.g. headers and footers in Publications are managed as dedicated pages within its own folder hierarchy, separate from how an existing website handles them. I would also expect that combining the two would affect how existing content on the website renders.

So the recommended approach is to set up a dedicated Publications website per language using the Publications design.

Hi Lisa,
Thank you very much for the details.
That was my first impression as well; I just needed a hard confirmation.

Thank you,

Adrian
