URLs of equal page names

Hi,

We have two websites inside a staging environment. Both websites have a "contact" page. Each website will be linked to a different domain, so the final URLs have to be "www.domain1.com/contact" and "www.domain2.com/contact". Right now, URLs cannot be duplicated in staging, so now they are "www.staging.com/contact" and "www.staging.com/contact-1". We readed the info at Customized URLs about the "Ensure unique paths for each area" option, but it is not so clear.

How can we be sure that the URLs will not appear with the "-1"? Could it be achieved right in the staging environment after linking one domain for each website?

Thanks for the help,
Tomas

Hi Tomas

If you have only one domain as you have in your staging, there can only be one /contact. Setting the "Ensure unique paths for each area" will ensure that each area has its own set of URLs, but it also means that you can only access one of the areas - the one that has the domain set as primary (or a random one if not set).

So in staging, you would also have to apply 2 hostnames - i.e. da.staging.com and en.staging.com and use primary domain on each website together with the setting.
