Last login property does not seem to update

Hi,
On a user you can see this. But why is the "last login on" sometimes empty and sometimes a value. And when I log in it not updating?

When and how does this field updates? Becuase our customer want to see when a user last log in and remove users after a certain amount of time (3 months example) but it does not look like we can trust on this field.

Hi Andreas,

The login date is updated for login in the frontend - not for login in the backend (admin).
By default the value is empty (null), because the user has never logged in.

Are you experiencing a different behavior? Is the login date not updated for frontend logins on your website?

Hi,

Thanks for the clarification. I though that it should update when i login to backend also but it was not so.
In frontend it looks like it works correct for our regular users but we have custom login using adfs and then it not seem to update. Maybe i need to update my code to update this field when log in using adfs.
