PIM limit when exporting/importing

Hi guys,

We are encountering a situation when using the PIM Export/Import functionality using large data sets.

We get this error:

The incoming request has too many parameters. The server supports a maximum of 2100 parameters. Reduce the number of parameters and resend the request.

Although I understand where the limitation comes from, we have situations where bulk update of products is necessary and we need a friendly way for the admins to handle it.

Data integration is one option but it's not friendly/easy enough for Content/PIM managers.

Thank you,

Adrian

Rembered now that I had a support ticket about this a while ago and where I was told that it would be investigated. (ticket number 3071)

Hi guys,

There could be also an issue when trying to update large lists of products using the Import functionality in PIM.

I have tried with 14k products and I could not make it work.

Hi,

I haven't seen that it was the Excel formatted version you have used "Excel (Dynamicweb structured)"

It seems that there are used a validation method, there gives the problem, so we look into that

If you use Excel (Clean/RAW), then it is working on my solution with more than 6000 products export/import

Any news on this? Should this now be supported or is the workaround still to use the Unstructured format?

Hi Imar,

I have just tested on DW9.16.3, with 6200+ products, two Langauge and 8-10 fields, and that works  ..

Please verify it on your solution
