Up until now it has been neccessary to manipulate Cart and Product Catalog templates if you want to disallow to buy products that are not on stock
It would be nice with a Setting for DW 9 - either on Website Ecommerce Setting and/or on Cart App/Product Catalogue App Setting if you want to disallow adding products to Cart if product is out of stock and disallow going to Checkout if you have products in an old cart that are out of stock
The central option to hide products that are out of Stock is rarely wanted by Customers
Maybe a good reason to make these settings Website specific - in relation to Solutions that may run with both B2C and B2B websites and want B2B to buy as many products as they want but B2C to be restricted to buy only what is on Stock to be delivered here and now
