Inheritance of images within variant groups

We have a solution, where the images and settings initially are inherited from the master product, to all variant. That´s fine for start, but we also want to be able to set different image for each variant group. This is doable as it is now, but the way we do it is time consuming, and not so userfriendly.

What is the easiest way to set a main product picture to an entire variant group? Is it bulk edit? That is not a "intuitive" solution, as you have to so add the image again, even if it is already being inherited.

We would like to ad a main image to lets say a black tshirt, in all sizes (xxs, xs, s, m, l, xl, xxl) in the most effective way.

Hi Hans,

As I understand, you want to set a "Primary image" on a VariantGroup (Color), and then all underleing VariantGroup's (Size) should use that as "Primary Image" .. correct ?

As it is now in DW9.x, you need to set "Primary Image" on all Products, where the Variant-combination belongs to VariantGroup (Color: Black) .. and Yes, it is "Bulk Edit" there can be used for that update Image on all combinations ..

But what do you mean with "... as you have to so add the image again, even if it is already being inherited."

Are you using "Assets category" to organize your Digital Assets ? .. If so, you can control what should be Inherit from Master ..
