Adding a set af fields to a completion rule using product categories

Hi Forum,

Our customer ask if it possible to add a whole set of fields to at completion rule using product categories. Using the product category field set would be dynamic if fields are added og removed from the product categry. As it is now it looks at he has to build the field set twice both as a field set for the product category and for the completion rule - and maintain the set of fields in both places.

Queries does not either - as I see it - support adding whole sets of fields using product categories.

Here a short description of what is the suggestion:

1. The list of product categories

2. As it is now you can only add field by field to the rules

3. The suggestion- could it be possible ot add a whele set of fields using a product category?

Any suggenstions/work arounds or is this a feature request?

+1 as feature request.

Checking the completness from a PIM product list, should it show the 'product category' you have added to the completness rule or should it expand the 'product category' and show the individuel fields?

Hi Helene,

As it is now, you can add a whole set of Category fields to a Completeness rule, by searching the Category-name and then press "add."

But as I understand you description, you want to able to select the "CategoryField Group" to a Completeness rule. So if you afterwhere add a Field to that CategoryField Group, it would automatically be adde to the Completeness rule.

Have I understanded it correct ?

Yes :-)

It is as you describe the request from the customer: being able to add the whole "CategoryField Group" to a Completeness rule. So if you afterwards add or remove a Field to that CategoryField Group, it would automatically be added or removed to the Completeness rule.

This would elimintae double maintenance of both the "CategoryField Group" and the Completeness rule
