Azure AD SSO - backend login error

Hi,

I have successfully setup my Azure AD on DW 9.9.0 and it works fine for frontend (although the user does not follow the permissons for authenticated user). But on the backend I just get this error:

 External login error: Login failed

Is there any extra things I can check to make this work?

Regards,

Jon.

Hi Jon

Check out this one: https://doc.dynamicweb.com/documentation-9/users/external-authentication/microsoft-365-authentication

Check if you have something missing for the settings.

Hi Nicolai,

I followed all the directions in that document. I switched around all the redirect URIs to see if it made any difference, but still the same. Frontend login works well.

The azure login button takes me to the login page and that all works well, but then once logged in it redirects me back to the admin area and just shows that login error message.

Regards,

Jon.

Hi,

I've checked the feature on solution based on last DW9.9.1 and have the expected results during backend/frontend external login - proof. I fully followed the manual mentioned above to cteate new Azure AD account and used browser incognito mode to have separate sessions. Note your site should use SSL connection with an valid sertificate (HTTPS headers should be pointed in the account and used for login in backend as well). IIS pool of yuor solition should be recycled after changes in the account. Your should use 'allow backend login' option for an user group used in DW settings of the provider and permission of the group could be set accordingly to show backed after login.
