Subgroups loop seems to ignore assortments

Hi guys,

I have a solution running DW 9.8.8.

I am trying to list the Subgroups of a group and the loop seems to ignore the assortment.

In the navigation, the groups without products are hidden. In the Subgroups loop, they are visible.

Is this the expected behavior or it is a bug?

Thank you,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
Do you mean subgroup rendering in product catalog?
Yes, this loop desn't exclude empty groups.

Best regards,
Vladimir

Hi Vladimir,

Yes. If I use the Subproducts or Childgrouos loop, the loops include all groups regardless of the Assortment.

And this is not just about empty groups. Those groups can be hidden using the ProductCount tag. I am talking about restricted groups that would also have products. I have no way of telling if the user can or cannot see a group.

Maybe having an additional property for HasAccess could solve the problem if it's too complicated to filter the loops based on assortments.

Thank you,
Adrian

Assortments are related to products and not groups.

Only the navigation takes assortment into consideration, so you can use that instead.

Hi Nicolai,

Thank you for your answer.

This also means that I will not find any "HasAccess" (or similar) tag on the Subgroups or Childgroups loops, right?

Thank you,
Adrian
